Usually resetting of printers is needed when print jobs are stuck in the queue leading to hung print jobs. Resetting the printer settings will clear all print jobs and print settings. Resetting will only restore the default factory settings; it will not reset the page count, tray size, or language. So, to reset the HP printer to factory or defaults settings follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Switch off the printer and disconnect its power cable from the power source for about 30 seconds and reconnect after 30 seconds.
2. Switch on the printer by pressing and holding the power button for about 20 – 30 seconds until the attention light turns on.
3. Leave the power button. The attention and ready light will start cycling in the meantime and the printer will restore to its default factory settings.
